Phyllis Tuckwell will be holding its last Spinnaker Tower abseil this autumn and is looking for fundraisers to join it on this special day.

The abseil will take place on Sunday, October 1 and will raise vital funds to help the Farnham-based hospice care charity continue providing its supportive and end of life care to local patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness such as cancer.

Open to participants as young as eight years old, this amazing abseil is ideal for a unique family experience.

You’ll abseil 100 metres down the side of the iconic Spinnaker tower, enjoying incredible views across Portsmouth harbour and the Solent to the Isle of Wight.

Registration is £30, with a sponsorship target of £250, and all of the money raised will go directly towards funding the medical and nursing care, therapies, counselling, social work advice and practical support which Phyllis Tuckwell provides.

“Our Spinnaker Tower abseil days are always brilliant fun, with those who take part enjoying both the views and the adrenaline rush of the abseil itself,” said Fiona Chapman, events fundraiser at Phyllis Tuckwell.

“Taking part in our last abseil at this location will really help boost our funds, and help us reach the £25,000 that we need to raise each and every day to continue providing our care to those in our local community who really need our help.”
