AN INFANT school pupil from Bordon is cycling 100 miles to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Edward Pollard, aged six, took on the 100 miles challenge after he and his mother Katie Pollard saw the idea on Facebook.

It could be done on any form of wheeled transport but Edward chose his bike.

Katie, of Lamerton Close, said: “I asked him if he’d like to do it and Edward said yes because he is such a caring little boy who always wants to help.

“His school, St Matthew’s in Blackmoor, says he’s very liked at the school by everyone and is known for being kind and caring, especially to other kids who don’t fit in as much as some others.

“He’s loving the challenge and has already done 31 miles and raised £282. I’m thinking of throwing a little congratulations party when he gets to his 100th mile.”
