A SPATE of burglaries targeting homes, garages and outbuildings in Four Marks has prompted the police to issue advice on home and vehicle security.

The message is to check that you have quality door and window locks fitted, and that outbuildings are kept locked when not in use.

A police spokesman added that it was important to make a note of serial numbers of valuables such as cameras, phones and bicycles. He said: “We recover stolen property every day, and it is often difficult to trace items back to the owner.”
