THE annual Candover Valley sponsored ride attracted more than 300 horse riders to Northington Grange, near Alresford.
Facing them on October 18 was an eight-mile ride over parkland, woodland and water meadows, with a selection of jumps, to suit all capabilities and ages.
Run by Sarah Bullen and her team in aid of the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund and the Countryside Alliance, this year’s event was held by kind permission of the Hon Mark Baring and his father, the Rt Hon Lord Ashburon, and was sponsored by Rawlings Fuels of Liphook.
Expected to raise in the region of £5,000 for the two charities, the picture shows Tom Davies, from Rawlings Fuels, handing over a £1,000 cheque to the organisers, with Northington Grange as a backdrop.
