A NEW commuter rail link has been postponed until further notice after the scheme hit a technical hitch.

Due to be trialled in four weeks fby Go! Co-operative Limited, trading as GOCo, the service was to use the Mid-Hants Railway line to link Medstead and Four Marks with Alton station.

But technical issues during the testing programme have rendered it impossible to repair the rail car ahead of the scheduled launch of the public service.
