THE organiser of a walk on Sunday, April 24, in the countryside around Basingstoke next month in aid of the Hampshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) has announced a special incentive for registered walkers.
According to Hannah Houstin-Lacey, when people register for the sponsored walk on Sunday, April 24, they will be in with a chance of winning a week’s holiday accommodation in Tenerife.
Starting 10.30am from Cliddesden village hall, near Basingstoke, the two circular walks of approximately four and seven miles will take participants through woods and across farmland.
CPRE Hampshire Chairman, Dee Haas, from Ellisfield said: “The Walk to Save the Countryside is our main fundraiser on this, our 50th year, and while we have much to celebrate, CPRE faces big challenges to protect the countryside for current and future generations. We want to see as many people as possible get involved on the day.”
The walk costs £5 for adults, free for under-15s. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead. To register, visit cprehampshire.org.uk.
