PENSIONER fear a consultation survey on how they use their free bus passes could mean an end to the token scheme which many use to pay for taxis or travel on local community transport.

They are also worried that the bus pass itself might be cut as with the survey comes a warning from Hampshire County Council that when it takes over the scheme next year, and in view of Government cuts, "the funding is not likely to continue at the same level as in the past".
