FIGURES released by East Hampshire District Council have revealed that the district council's seven top earners take home between them salaries of well over half-a-million pounds.

The salary banding figures for its senior management team come hot on the heels of the publication last month of East Hampshire district councillors expenses and in the wake of the jaw-dropping scale of MPs salaries and their expenses.
