IT’S A RUNNING total that Father Christmas would be proud of.

Pupils from St Matthew’s Primary School in Blackmoor have raised £1,800 for two good causes after completing a festive fun run.

They were challenged to run around the school grounds as many times as possible in a Santa Dash for Cancer Research UK and Save The Children.

Every class participated with many pupils beating the two-mile mark in a classy display of perseverance and grit.

Teachers were thrilled with the response with pupils ditching their PE clothes for festive race wear.

“The Christmas spirit was out in full force with fantastic costumes, terrific teamwork and lots of laughter,” said a teacher.
