COUNCILLORS have called for more of the same after backing plans for a farm shop on the edge of Bordon.

The Whitehill & Bordon Development Company has submitted plans to build a single-storey shed on a grassy patch next to the Bordon & Oakhanger Sports Club.

Whitehill Town Council have raised no objection as they support the prospect of more infrastructure and shops in new-build areas, but would also like to see more shops open around the town.

The wood-cladded building is designed to compliment the pavilion and would contain a small kitchen, stock room and office in addition to retail space.

Housing will eventually be built opposite the pavilion so it’s hoped the shop will cater for its residents.
