ALTON'S Curtis Museum and Allen Gallery will reopen on Tuesday under The Hampshire Museums and Galleries Trust.

The tourist attractions have been closed since June 23 after Hampshire County Council decided to axe staff posts and bow out of running the museums as part of a cost-cutting move.
