ALTON'S Alpha Trampoline Club is celebrating a successful first year.

Based at Alton Convent School sports hall since opening in January 2013 with five members, Alpha has grown to embrace six squad sessions and is running at almost full capacity with 32 members and designated weekly junior and adult sessions.

Remarkably, the club has enjoyed a hugely successful competitive first year, with members winning medals and qualifying at regional level and one member becoming British champion at a national grade.

The end of the year was a particularly exciting time with the hosting of Alpha's inaugural club championships, with 22 members, aged from five to 20, competing in the event, the majority for the first time.
