Two teenagers have died after a car collided with a tree in an early morning accident on a Meon Valley road.

Villagers are in mourning following the tragic accident on Corhampton Lane around 2.47am on Sunday (July 13).

The victims of the accident between Corhampton and the Sailor’s Lane crossroads were two boys aged 16 and 17.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics the pair died at the scene with their families now being supported by specialist officers.

The accident involved a grey Hyundai I20 with Hampshire Police launching an appeal for witnesses or dashcam footage following the weekend tragedy.

A spokesperson said: “As part of our investigation we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has relevant dash cam footage capturing the incident or the moments leading up to it.
