VALE Furnishers has celebrated the success of a three-year campaign to raise £100,000 for local charity Phyllis Tuckwell.

The money was raised through the Together We Can campaign, which saw Vale Furnishers ask customers to donate unwanted furniture. These pieces of furniture were then given to Phyllis Tuckwell to be sold in its furniture showroom, which is on Dogflud Way in Farnham, close to Vale Furnishers’ Farnham shop.

The money will help fund the supportive and end of life care Phyllis Tuckwell provides for patients and families living with an advanced or terminal illness.

Vale Furnishers has now pledged to raise another £100,000 over the next three years, and has donated £10,000 towards this.

“We would like to thank Vale Furnishers and their customers for their wonderful generosity and support in helping us reach this huge total,” said Nick Adams, corporate partnerships manager at Phyllis Tuckwell.

“Thank you to everyone who has donated their unwanted furniture to this wonderful cause over the past three years,” said Mark Chandler, managing director of Vale Furnishers.

“We can’t wait to see what we can continue to achieve together as we start another three-year campaign.”
