A WATER bottle filling station has been installed at the Whitehill & Bordon Skatepark by Whitehill Town Council.

Skatepark users should bring their own bottle to use the machine, an enhancement of the original water fountain idea scrapped amid fears it could spread coronavirus.

Town council leader Cllr Andy Tree said: “Applying for Section 106 money paid by developers gives us the opportunity to deliver projects for residents across Whitehill & Bordon. It gives us great pleasure to be able to serve the users of our skatepark and also hopefully reduce plastic waste, as bottles can be re-used.”

Cllr Phillip Davies, East Hampshire council’s Whitehill & Bordon assistant portfolio holder, said: “The water station is a great idea and will make the skatepark an even more attractive venue.”
