Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is staging Winnie the Pooh from August 11 to 13.

Deep in Hundred Acre Wood, a new adventure is about to happen. AA Milne’s beloved characters Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl and Tigger will all arrive on stage in a beautifully crafted musical stage adaptation featuring impressive life-sized puppetry and exciting new stories.

Accompanying the modern narrative is an original score by Nate Edmondson, featuring some of the Grammy-winning songs written by the Sherman Brothers for the original animated features, including Winnie the Pooh, The Blustery Day, The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers and Whoop-De-Dooper Bounce, plus A A Milne’s The More It Snows, featuring music by Carly Simon, and Sing Ho in a new arrangement.

Winnie the Pooh will be played by Benjamin Durham, with Laura Bacon, Harry Boyd, Alex Cardall, Chloe Gentles, Lottie Grogan and Robbie Noonan playing the others.

There are performances on August 11 at 5pm, August 12 at 10.30am, 1.30pm and 4.30pm, and August 13 at 10.30am and 1.30pm. For tickets, priced from £18 (children from £14), call 01483 440000 or visit
