TWO women drivers were hurt when they were involved in a collision at the Whitedown Lane junction with the A339 in Alton last Thursday.

The incident happened around 5pm and involved a Ford Galaxy and a Hyundai Getz. Both drivers had to be cut out of their vehicles.

One of the injured women was taken to North Hampshire Hospital at Basingstoke with chest injuries, and the other with injuries to her face.

Hampshire ambulance, police and fire officers attended the scene and the accident caused a tailback of rush-hour traffic.
