A charity football tournament at Anstey Park organised by Alton-based global cybersecurity distributor Exclusive Networks raised £36,000 for charity.

This is the second time the event – which will become an annual fixture in the company calendar – has been held at the Alton ground.

Exclusive Networks was named the stadium sponsor for Alton FC last year.

Its employees decided which charity should benefit from the event, and they chose Alton Food Bank and The Trussell Trust.

A fantastic day brought together teams from across the cybersecurity industry to support the charitable cause and the local community.

“The tournament reflects the core values of Exclusive Networks – we are a business that is big on culture, big on teamwork and big on community,” said a company spokesman. “People are at the heart of our ethos and this tournament is a great example of what we are about.

“Thirty-four teams representing businesses from across the cybersecurity industry took part and £36,000 was raised for The Trussell Trust and the local Alton Food Bank.

“Players flew in from as far as America to join the day, and a whole team came in from Dublin that morning representing Ireland.

“Exclusive Networks would like to extend thanks to Alton Food Bank for joining us on the day and helping raise awareness about the services food banks offer to the community.

“And we also offer a huge thank you to Alton FC, Carl Saunders and the team for their support in pulling off another successful charity day together. Bring on 2024!”
