Bentworth sisters Scarlett and Sienna Charles have both returned victorious from The Royal Windsor Horse Show.
They were competing for Great Britain in the two-star senior international showjumping competitions. Fifteen-year-old Sienna won the St George Stakes on Chaitanya and was runner-up in the Grand Prix. The following day, Scarlett, 17, won with Quick Step in the Clip My Horse International class.
The girls, both pupils at Alton School, were the youngest competitors in these classes. They have now been selected to represent the GB U18 squad in Wierden, Netherlands next month.
Their brother, Harry Charles, has also been in good form. The 18-year-old returned from Redefin in Germany with a win on his new horse, Belle Fleur. He now travels to Uggerhalne in Denmark where he has been selected for Great Britain’s Senior Nations Cup team for the first time
Harry has also been selected as part of the prestigious Rolex Young Riders Academy. He was one of only seven out of 28 top European young riders to make the full programme and is the youngest in the team. His training will include qualified education in communication, business, economics, veterinary and legal practice connected to showjumping, as well as tailor-made training, clinics and show invitations. The team will kick-off the programme at the Franklin University of Switzerland next month.
