Blackheath crowned I'Anson Cricket League champions

Blackheath have been crowned champions of the I’Anson Cricket League after the final day of the season was ruined by rain.

League leaders Blackheath’s match at home to Grayshott was rained off, as was second-placed Elstead’s match at home to Chiddingfold, which was enough for Blackheath to win the I’Anson Division One title.

Only two matches produced results across the seven divisions of the I’Anson League on the final day, with rain wiping out the other games.

In Division Five, Bramley’s second team won by 12 runs at Wood Street’s second team.

Bramley scored 142 for six off 30 overs, before bowling Wood Street out for 130.

In Division Seven, Frimley’s third team won by five wickets at home to Chiddingfold’s third team.

The final day saw all the promotion and relegation spots across the I’Anson League confirmed.

Frensham and Chiddingfold were relegated from Division One to Division Two.

Churt & Hindhead were crowned Division Two champions, with Haslemere promoted in second place. Peper Harow and Headley, Whitehill & Bordon were relegated to Division Three.

Frimley Phoenix won the Division Three title, with Fernhurst promoted in second place. Pirbright and Tongham were relegated to Division Four.

Tilford’s second team were crowned Division Four champions, with Grayshott’s second team promoted in second place. Brook and Frimley’s second team were relegated to Division Five.

Churt & Hindhead’s second team won the Division Five title, with Milford promoted in second place. Wood Street’s second team and Headley, Whitehill & Bordon’s second team were relegated to Division Six.

Elstead’s second team were crowned Division Six champions, with Haslemere’s second team promoted in second place. Tilford’s third team, Grayswood’s third team and Alton’s fourth team were relegated to Division Seven.

Worplesdon & Burpham’s second team won the Division Seven title, with Farncombe’s third team promoted in second place and Grayshott’s third team promoted in third place.
