ROWLEDGE have recruited Australian Tom Treble as their overseas player for the coming season.
Treble, 22, is an established first-grade batsman playing for Geelong, alongside the likes of Aaron Finch and the McDonald brothers, Andrew and Brenton.
A left-hand batsman, he is into his fifth season with Geelong, following a move from Geelong City.
In his younger days, he was a specialist leg-spinner, who represented Barwon Rockets at age-group level. However, his batting has become the focus since his move to Geelong.
After two prolific seasons, predominantly in second grade, Treble broke into the Premier first grade in 2014/15.
He has played across both first and second grades since and, this season, has featured in the top flight in every match to date.
Holder of a British passport, he now has the chance to prove himself in English conditions, playing Southern Premier League cricket for Rowledge.
Away from cricket, Treble has worked for four years as a stonemason. He would like to get involved with junior coaching and is completing his community coach accreditation (level 1) in Australia.
