Steep Cricket Club hosted 75 All Stars this season at their ground.

The children taking part ranged in age from four to eight years old, with many younger siblings coming up to join in the fun. The club prides itself on a welcoming family atmosphere, with many families staying behind after the final session for a barbecue.

The All Stars put all the skills they had learned into action in the final session. At the end they were all given a certificate and presented with a medal by Hampshire player – and ex-Steep CC junior – Jack Campbell.

The barbecue raised money for the club which will be used to train more coaches for next year.

The aim is to have 100 children signing up in 2024.

Thanks were given to organisers John and Sarah-Jane Smith and coaches Ian Hurst, Charlie Harrison, Ed Ellis, Tom McCubbin, David Youell and Nick Reynolds.
