The Bourne Cricket Club hosted a six-a-side tournament as part of the club’s 125th-anniversary celebrations.

The day was fuelled by quality cricket, perfect weather and plenty of beer.

The Bourne side won a very tight final against Frensham Cricket Club thanks to a Jack Cox bowling masterclass.

There was a terrific turnout by The Bourne’s supporters and the travelling teams, which led to a very successful day.

A number of other events are planned this year to mark The Bourne’s 125th anniversary.

A cricket week is planned for the week starting on Monday, July 31, which will include matches against an I’Anson representative XI, a chairman’s invitational XI and an over-40s game.

A celebratory dinner is planned for September, and the club also plan to go on tour.
