WINDSOR Vets 2, Haslemere Vets 2 (Wessex Supervets Hockey Alliance). Haslemere Veterans were hoping to avenge an earlier defeat and came close to doing so in this entertaining draw.

The visitors seemed out of contention after trailing 2-0 at the interval, but Haslemere came back fighting and Simon Prichard reduced the deficit with a cool cross-shot.

Prichard scored again to level the scores (Windsor claimed the ball had not crossed the line, Haslemere goal-line technology proved it had!). Despite winning a number of short corners, Haslemere failed to force a winner and they had defend two short corners in a nervous last minute, with Peter Lawrence sprinting out of goal to foil the striker.

One more league fixture to go and the Vets hope to finish in the top five after a strong second half of the season.
