EIGHT years ago, Alton Town’s Clive Ventham won the Wessex League Manager of the Month for December and a youthful Mark Corbett was Player of the Month.

Fast forward eight years, and once again under the management of Ventham, assisted by Kevin Beaumont, Sean Hayes and Glenn Westwood, Alton have been awarded the Sydenhams League (Wessex) Division One Club of the Month award for December.

Alton were unbeaten in December, winning all four of their games, scoring 18 goals and conceding only four.

Since losing to Shaftesbury on October 15, Alton have played 11 league games, winning nine and losing two.
