Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson praised his side’s performance after they continued their perfect start to their Combined Counties Premier Division South campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 victory at home to Tadley Calleva on Saturday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, Darryl Sanders broke the deadlock for the hosts on 47 minutes when his cool finish found the bottom corner.
Town doubled their advantage in the 54th minute when Max Meaton’s cross found Sanders, who finished into the bottom corner.
Lewis Flatman made it 3-0 on 64 minutes when his long-range effort was fumbled into the net by the Tadley keeper.
Town trail leaders Jersey Bulls by one point – but have three games in hand.
Johnson was delighted with his side’s efforts.
“We got on top in the last 15 to 20 minutes of the first half and the opening goal was coming,” said Johnson.
“Scoring just after half-time was obviously ideal and we took control and played some good football. There were a lot of good performances.
“We’ve got great options going forwards, although we have got a few injuries defensively – and Josh Lelan went off with a hamstring injury.”
Farnham travel to third-placed Horley Town in the Combined Counties Premier Division South on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
