Haslemere Town Huskies under-nines produced an inspired team performance to defeat Farnham Town Greens 2-0 in the North East Hampshire Youth League Division 3 Cup final.

A first-half thunderbolt from Jacob Harrison and a quick-thinking second-half strike from Arthur Wholey – who followed up a lovely curling effort from Jed Kay which came back off the inside of the post – were enough to secure victory.

William Jennings and Jake Easter bossed the midfield and a resolute defensive display from Roy Ashby saw him take home the player-of-the-match award.

A club spokesman said: “Everyone played their part to round off a fantastic season.

“And we would like to say a special thank you to our team sponsors AA Harrison & Sons Roofing Specialists.”
