Badshot Lea’s hopes of breaking into the top three of the Premier Division of the Combined Counties League were ruthlessly wrecked by in-form Balham, who won at Westfield Lane.

Yet despite late pressure on the Deportivo goal, it was Town keeper Dease Kerrison who ensured a point as he made two critical saves in the second half.

Wessex League Premier Division leaders Alresford Town conceded four goals in the final 20 minutes as they were routed 7-1 by Fareham Town - after Mike Gosney had given the Magpies the lead.

In Division One, Alton Town’s bid to end a run of three consecutive defeats was halted by the weather as rain forced the postponement of their match at Romsey Town.
