The Rams got off to the perfect start and took the lead in the first minute through Archie Greenough's finish. Ollie Davies doubled Petersfield's advantage on 42 minutes with a solo effort, before Danny Young pulled a goal back for Bemerton just before half-time.

Substitute Harrison Cable restored Petersfield's two-goal advantage in the 65th minute, and although George Higgins pulled a goal back for Bemerton two minutes later the Rams held on to reach the next round.

Petersfield will travel to Hungerford Town in the first round qualifying of the FA Cup on Saturday, September 2 (3pm).
