Petersfield Town have confirmed their new managerial team.

Connor Hoare has been appointed first-team manager, Callum Glen becomes assistant manager and Steve Weston joins the club as a coach.

Hoare spent last season leading the Rams on the pitch with the captain’s armband. He will now lead the team from the dugout with the new management team.

Glen takes up the position of assistant manager and will also form part of the playing squad for the upcoming season.

Weston will work alongside Hoare and Glen.

Petersfield enjoyed an incredibly successful campaign last season under co-managers Pat Suraci and Joe Lea and head of football Mark Summerhill.

The Rams secured promotion to the Premier Division of the Wessex League with a penalty shoot-out victory against New Milton Town in the play-off final.

They also reached the Wessex League Cup final, going down 4-2 to Premier Division Baffins Milton Rovers at AFC Portchester.

The trio left Love Lane for Southern League Premier South Division outfit Gosport Borough. Suraci and Lea are Gosport’s new co-managers, while Summerhill has been appointed their football operations manager.

Hoare, Glen and Weston are all looking forward to the challenge of Premier Division football.

Hoare said: “I’m excited to get started and build on the foundations that were laid last year. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

Glen said: “I can’t wait to get started. We have some exciting ideas and look forward to helping the club find its feet in a new division this season.”

Weston added: “I’m delighted to join the Rams’ management team this season. I’m looking forward to carrying on the great work that has been done on and off the pitch recently.”
