With girls’ football growing quickly at Petersfield Town Juniors, the club are hoping to launch a women’s team to play in the Hampshire County Women’s League on Sundays from September – and they’re looking for players.

The club will be holding informal open training sessions this month for any female aged 16 or over to go along, have a kickabout and find out more about the club’s plans.

It is hoped there will be enough interest to register a team for the start of the 2023-24 season in September.

All abilities are welcome. The club are keen to continue its ethos of ‘football for all’ so everyone is welcome.

The open training sessions will be held at The Petersfield School’s 3G pitch from 11am to midday this Sunday (June 11), and at Penns Place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 21 and from 11am to midday on Saturday, June 24.

Players are welcome to go to one or all of the sessions, depending on availability.

Anyone who would like to register their interest should email John Lowe.

Any potential players who can’t make these dates can still contact John.
