FARNHAM Town’s Combined Counties League game with Cove at the Memorial Ground today was abandoned after an hour because of torrential rain.

Farnham were trailing 2-1 in their Division One clash when the referee called the game off.

In rare action in the Premier Division Division, Badshot Lea were crushed 6-2 at Colliers Wood.

Heavy rain put paid to all but one game in the Premier Division of the Sydenhams Wessex League, with Alresford Town’s home game with Portland United at Arlebury Park one of the games to fall victim to the weather.

Alton Town’s trip across the Solent to play East Cowes Victoria in Division One was also washed out.
