WILL Benson from Applegarth Farm and his supporters are putting together the final touches to the organisation of the annual James Stephenson Golf Day.

James was the head chef at Applegarth, near Grayshott until his untimely death in a road accident on New Year’s Day 2015 and Will has set up this golf day to support his two young daughters and one of his favourite charities – the Cardiomyopathy Association.

Nearly 100 golfers have signed up to take part in the golf day at Old Thorns, Liphook on Friday, November 4. Numerous sponsors have made donations towards the day, including items for an auction and Old Thorns have generously provided the course.

A few spaces are still available for players and sponsors. For more details, go to the website www.jamesgolfday.co.uk or contact the organiser, Chris Grimes, by email at [email protected] com
