Twelve places at the Open were up for grabs at Hankley Common – and 105 players entered the qualifying event.
Chloe Williams won the qualifier at Hankley Common with a score of five-under-par, while Emma Grechi and Gina Kim hit four-under-par to book their places at The Open.
Anna Foster, Kylie Henry, Daniela Darquea and Wei-ling Hsu hit three-under-par to book their places at Walton Heath.
With 13 players tied on two-under-par, a play-off was held for the five remaining places.
Mi Hyang Lee, Hayley Davis, Ingrid Lindblad, Kelsey Bennett and Savannah De Bock came through the play-off to seal their spots at The Open.
Four reserves were also allocated based on the play-off result, with Farnham golfer Lottie Woad securing the third reserves spot. Maddie Szeryk sealed the first reserves spot, Wichanee Meechai was second reserve and Emma Allen was fourth reserve.
“We have held several regional qualifiers at the club before, but this is the first time we’ve held a final qualifying event at Hankley Common,” said Richardson.
“With darkness descending we had to suspend the play-off and come back the next day to determine the final spot.
“We had more than 130 volunteers in a variety of roles, which was a great effort from the club.
“We got to know some of the golfers quite well – some of them stayed with some of our members – and we will be keenly following their careers and hoping to see them do well.”
The AIG Women’s Open, which was held at Walton Heath, was won by American golfer Lilia Vu with a final score of 14-under-par.
English golfer Charley Hull was second, six strokes behind.
