ALMOST a year to the day that Farnham Rugby Club 1st XV were victorious at Twickenham in the RFU Senior Vase, it was the turn of the club’s veterans and 3rd XV to bring home the silverware.

On the Surrey RFU’s finals day, held at Esher, ‘L’Escargot’, the Farnham veterans, overcame Battersea Ironsides 24-15 in the final of the Chairman’s Vase.

The 3rd XV, meanwhile, recorded a resounding 57-0 victory over Racal Decca to lift the President’s Chalice.
