PETERSFIELD RFC will meet a Royal Navy President’s XV in a charity match under floodlights at Penns Place on Tuesday, December 12.
The now annual event raised £2,400 for the Petersfield Dementia Friendly Charity last time and December’s fixture will see money raised go to the Rosemary Foundation and the Royal Navy & Royal Marines charities.
Petersfield chairman Stuart Barden said: “This event provides some great floodlit rugby to watch and an opportunity to do some good in the community. It promises to be a great night.”
A Charity Supper, sponsored by Milkwood Care, starts at 6.30pm (contact Stuart Barden ([email protected]) for seat details, with the game kicking off at 8pm.
The evening will also be a celebration for the Petersfield RFC team which undertook the ‘Since 1664 Yomp’ – a 166.4km walk along the Southdowns Way which was completed by Rachel Lewis and Allan McManus in just over 36 hours back in May. The pair raised over £4,000 for the Rosemary Foundation.
