Farnham Rugby Club are looking to raise a hair-raising £30,000 from their Movember efforts this year.

They have a number of events planned this year to help them reach their target.

Club member David Hall said: “Our aim is to beat our previous amazing efforts and raise £30,000, as well as spreading awareness.

“We will be joined this year by the efforts of seniors, women, the vets, the academy, juniors, minis and Touch teams – and will be under one large Farnham RUFC team.

“We will be walking 60km to Richmond’s ground on November 20 as a group, to watch the Mo Bro rugby match at the Richmond Athletic Ground before the Championship game Richmond v Ampthill.

“We also have many more things to come.

“Movember involves the growing of moustaches during the month to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.”
