The guest speakers at the recent Farnham Sports Council meeting were the two co-orchestrators of a pickleball and padel club set to open in Farnham later this year.
Sally Grace and Andre Strachan – who are both accomplished pickleball players – presented their vision for The Hub of Pickleball and Padel (The HOPP) to sports council members.
Sally said: “Pickleball is growing at a massive pace all over the world and we’re keen to give people across our community the chance to experience these popular activities.”
Andre added: “We have been overwhelmed by the positive response we’ve received so far.”
Farnham Sports Council chairman David Gill said: “Sally and Andre have worked tirelessly to develop this project.
“They are very passionate about the new club, intended as a family-friendly sports and social club for all ages.
“Promoting healthy lifestyles has never been more important and this will be another valuable leisure amenity for Farnham and the surrounding areas.”
