Farnham golfer Lottie Woad helped Team Europe win their first-ever Patsy Hankins Trophy after defeating Asia-Pacific by 19 points to 13 at La Manga Golf Resort in Murcia, Spain.

Woad played some excellent golf over the three days, winning three and drawing one of her five matches as Team Europe won for the first time since the trophy’s inception in 2016.

The Farnham golfer said the team would celebrate their triumph by enjoying the swimming pool, with the temperatures soaring in Spain.

She said: “It’s still so hot here we’re going to go to the pool!

“It was a great team effort and everyone is really happy.

“It’s been a lot of fun playing with friends and we played some good golf.”
