A31 closed at Guildford after man in his 20s hit by HGV

A male pedestrian in his 20s was hit by an HGV on the A31 Farnham Road where the Hogs Back peels off towards Guildford in the early hours of Friday morning.

The road remains closed on the Guildford-bound side, from the junction with the A31 Hogs Back to the junction with Down Lane. Surrey Police advises the closure is likely to be in place until mid-morning.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital by air ambulance with life threatening injuries after the collision, which took place at around 3.40am.

Surrey Police is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or saw a male pedestrian in the area at the time or just before, to contact officers quoting PR/ 45220102127 via:
