A DOG walk in countryside around Old Alresford raised around £700 for family support charity Home-Start Winchester and Districts.
Nearly 200 legs – some with feet, some with paws – took part in the event, which ended in a lunch of home-made soup, ploughmans and brownies organised by the charity and hosted by patron Alison Wakeham at Pinglestone Barn.
Winchester mayor Cllr Vivian Achwal was guest of honour and there was a fifth year of sponsorship from Mel and Paul Bliss of the Gay Dog Boarding kennels, who joined the walkers with their dogs Nina and Cody.
