It’s just over a month until food waste collections begin in East Hampshire with caddy packs currently being delivered to homes around the district.

But while their arrival has been greeted enthusiastically by many, EHDC has urged residents not to use them until the service is fully operational in early October.

“Some residents have been so enthusiastic about the service they have started using their caddies already,” said a spokesperson for EHDC.

“It’s really important that you don’t start using them until October. If you have started using your caddies, please put the contents in your refuse (green) bin for now and start again the week before your first collection.”

Details of collection dates are on the MyEHDC webpage.
