THE children at Busy Bees Nursery in Alton enjoyed a special visit from town councillor Pam Jones, who presented them with a certificate in recognition of their entry into this year’s Alton in Bloom scarecrow competition.

The children were “very proud” that their first ever entry into the summer competition had been highly commended.

Based at the Westbrook Guide headquarters on Chawton Park Road, Busy Bees Nursery has extended its operating hours and now opens from 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to noon on Fridays during term-time. Spaces are available for children aged two to school age and visitors are welcome.
