WHILE floodwater, sandbags, concrete barriers, pumps, gaping potholes and now green algae have become the norm for Farringdon, there was hope on Tuesday afternoon when part of the A32 was re-opened to residents.

There is also restricted access to business from the Chawton roundabout at the junction with the A31 at Alton.

But the road remains closed to through traffic.
