WOOTEY Infant School in Alton has picked up gardening items through the Sainsbury's vouchers for schools scheme.
Debby Bridger, from the supermarket, met members of the Golden Time Gardening Club, which meets on Friday afternoons as part of the outdoor curriculum and is open to all pupils from reception to year two. The Alton store has donated grow bags, vegetable plants, flower plants and a gnome for the children to use to enhance the outside area of the school and to learn about plant cultivation.
The gnome will now be named in a competition before taking up residence in a flower bed.
