TWO days after her birthday, 20-year-old Hayley Hobbs, from Whitehill, was killed when her blue Citroen Saxo hit a tree in icy conditions on the A31, on Sunday.

The accident happened as the former Bohunt School pupil was driving on the eastbound carriageway towards Alton.

She was pronounced dead at the scene and the road was closed for five hours so police could remove the vehicle and examine the crash scene.
