A man has appeared in court in connection with a triple assault in a Horndean pub early this month.
Joshua Kafourous-Smith was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent at the Red Lion on July 9.
The 36-year-old of The Drive, Southbourne, was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and assault by beating.
The defendant only spoke to confirm his name and details when he appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday.
He is due to plea to all four charges at Portsmouth Crown Court on August 10.
