THE Friends of Four Marks Primary School have laid on a double special treat for pupils and parents - a summer fete and an invitation to the circus.

Held in the school grounds, the fete featured a variety of stalls, a prize tombola, a huge raffle, and a popular go-kart track.

There were games and, in keeping in with the circus theme, a chance to juggle and spin plates, with prizes for anyone who managed not to drop their plate.

There was also plenty of refreshment on offer on a hot day.

While everyone was enjoying the fete, The Happy Circus put up its big top in another part of the grounds and later everyone filed in to enjoy performances of juggling, aerial displays, and clowns, who brought plenty of laughter with their slapstick comedy.

Friends of Four Marks School representative Alison Davies said how pleased they were that everything had gone so well.

“And I gather as well as a lot of laughter at the circus there was a lot of water thrown about which added to the fun!” she said.

She said the organisers were grateful to the 250 visitors who came to the fete and to their sponsors.

Cash raised will go toward buying interactive white boards for the school and work on the playground.
