ALTON’S Lime Tree Children’s Day nursery celebrated its first birthday with a party and open morning.

After a busy year, owner Michelle Johnson and nursery manager Natasha Mcloughlin were keen to thank all the families and professionals who have supported the nursery from day one.

“We are so grateful for all the support and positive feedback we’ve received from our community of parents,” they said.

“We’ve worked really hard to make the nursery feel like a home-from-home environment for our children – even the birthday cake was donated by Abbie’s grandma.”

Staff, children and parents were joined by Alton town mayor Derek Gardner and local councillors Glynis Watts and James Voller.

There was lots to do during the morning with special guests from Club Morgan, Sarah Human from Les Petits Lapins French group, and from Jodie Jodie Cantelo who kept the children entertained with Forest School activities in the garden.
