There have been some changes to the independent shops available in Alton town centre.

Newly opened is Africstore Alton: The Continental, an African food grocer in Lenten Street run by Kemi Adegboyega and her husband David.

The Slush Truck slush and sweets shop in Market Street shut on January 31. A leaflet explained the closure: “The decision comes down to quieter footfall than we hoped for in Alton, and also an opportunity for us to step into something new and bigger in Farnham - which we’re excited about and grateful for.”

Up for sale is the So Lush ice-cream shop in the High Street. For details call 07401 331151 or email [email protected]

And Unique Chique and Boutique in the High Street will re-open on February 14 at 10am.
